snow geese

Postby Max4Holly » Sat Aug 18, 2012 11:55 am

I know its a little early but I have been wanting to get in on a snow goose hunt since I started hunting about 3 years ago, it just looks like a blast! Anybody know of any guides in Kansas? Or do any of you do any snow goose hunting have room for an extra body? Be more than happy to split gas, breakfast or whatever. It's just something I've wanted to get in on at least once.

   Welcome to come along sometime for a hunt, always good to have another body to set out a spread of 700 to 900 decoys. That is if you don't mind showing up in Leavenworth at 3 am or so. Hopefully this coming spring will be better than this last spring.

I always let the guy/gal that has never shot at a snow goose get the first shot at one, then it is game on.

I guess jump shooting would be fun...But i think setting up that many decoys and watching them work would be a damn BLAST!

I prefer to decoy them in, but when decoying won't work, not above me to go jump them.
