Teal dates are posted!

Postby FowlPwrcat » Mon Aug 20, 2012 8:03 pm

I love getting excited for teal, then busting my tail to get skunked every time! But I try and tell myself, you will never have a good hunt if you don't get out there and HUNT. Good luck fellas

I love teal season, but I'm affraid there wont be one for me this year. My usual spot is bone dry along with the other marshes. I'll still do some scouting and hope for the best.

We are on water restriction. The corn and beans are burned up with the milo right behind it if we don't get rain quick. The bottoms is completely dry and Quivera is almost there. They say the conditions are as bad if not worse than the 30's, and the rivers are so low the have quit running in a couple places. I'ld say we are a little worse off than the East end of the state. Not trying to make a pissing contest out of this, but what is bad for the East isn't horrible for the Central and West part of the state.

It's gonna be hunting lakes this season for me like last year. Which wasn't bad but birds got wise to blinds a hundred or so yards from shore after a month or so. Hopefully my ponds in the SE have water. We had an awesome last 2 weeks of the season last year.

We need rain and large amounts of it for days at a time.
