Assuming you're new to the state as well. We have limited access and many hunters. Success varies on public lands based on conditions (which are sure to be sub par this year) and hunter pressure. I have moderate success hunting only public land. Some days are much better than others. Our lack of water will likely concentrate hunters this season, so don't be surprised if you're rubbing elbows with skyblasting idiots in the marsh. Guys on this forum aren't about to give up their spots just because you joined the site. Scout scout scout, you'll find a spot to hunt.
I appreciate it, I know what you mean. I lived in Texas and was used to hunting big open water and some timber hunting and you always have that group of ppl that sky blast and it seems they are always next to where you hunt..haha
Wichita have lots of geese, I see them everywhere when I come up there. They need to do something about it. Maybe they are.
:welcome: to the best state in America
