There is no hope for this country I use to love. I no longer care about water or ducks.

I apologizes to every veteran that gave service or the family's of the hero's that gave their lives. We the people you protected have failed you. Sad day.

Cheer up fellas.
Republicans won the house. In two years they may take the senate. He is a lame duck. He can't do anything without the congress.

Besides Moochle needs to go on vacation.

I feel a bit depressed today as well. But not because of BHO. I'm saddened that this has become a nation of people who ask not what they can do for their country, but what their country can do for them.

I work with the general public on a daily basis, and I can tell you no less than 3 out of 4 people I encounter during a regular day have some degree of entitlement mentality. At this point in time, a vast majority of Americans have been dependant and/or benefited in some manner by "government programs" that the thought of taking total responsibility for oneself is not even a figment of their imagination.

I fear the conservative efforts will NEVER again win a national election. The minority vote is larger than ever, and unless the Republicans become so moderate they are essentially Democrats, we'll never again see a conservative president. Heck, Romney and Bush were pretty left leaning as far as Republican's go. If this nation elects the most left swinging liberal of all time to 2 presidential terms, what does that tell you about the majority of Americans?

Short of an all out economic collapse, I don't see this nation moving back to the right, only closer towards socialism. It is sad, to say the least..............either way, I don't plan to give up or give in. Maybe a miracle can and will happen in 2016!
IF I AGREED WITH YOU, WE'D BOTH BE WRONG.

This is commical to me. I am in fact a Republican AND I teach social studies. This is the kind of stuff goofball middle schoolers say.... The united states depends on a 2 party system. We cant always have a Republican in office and filling congress. Our Nation would be pretty messed up. The cool part is this is how our founding fathers intended the system to work. Its not meant to be easy to get your way.

Bottom line, everything will be OK

Is this what you're teaching our children in social studies, we are worse off then I thought.

There is nothing Comical (spelled correctly) about what is happening right now. Do you think 23 million Americans out of work is COMICAL? Do you think starting any mandate against the will of the people is COMICAL as long as it is called a tax?

Do you think especially today, Veterans day, it was COMICAL when 4 Americans were murdered in Libya, and this president lied about it for 3 weeks. Did you think in was COMICAL when one of our finest was sitting on a roof, painting a target, and waiting for help that never came, was killed after saving 30 other men?

Our nation is already MESSED UP, not would be. Were have you been the last 4 years? The cool part (adult term?) is this is how our founding fathers intended the system to work? Everything the founding fathers intended has been dissolved, molested, and ignored by this president and his congress in the first two years. Now he doesn't have to worry about re-election, do you think he will follow the intent of our founding fathers?

If our founding fathers sat back and said "everything will be OK", were do you think we would be now? I'll give you a hint, look EAST. Sorry you don't teach geography, the UK.

Maybe you should just teach history, because current events obviously elude you.

First off, i apologize about the spelling error, if i would have known you would have taken such offense i would have been more careful typing.

Second,i feel bad for you DUDE (not an adult term). Actually as a social studies teacher, i don't teach kids political views or impose my own. I encourage them do create their own opinions.

Preach your doom and gloom and check in with me in 10 years.

You should be more upset about Democrats AND Republicans being reluctant to work together to accomplish a common goal. People much like yourself.

One, if you think the President can't pass any laws without Congress' approval, you've been asleep for the last three years. He's done it before, and you can bet he'll do it again if he needs to.
Two, the laws passed and put into effect in the next four years will negatively affect the USA forever. Hope in 2016?? The damage will have been done by then. There is no reversal in our country's future. We have become what we have become and only a major upheaval will change that. Mark my words, civil violence is on the horizon; when the money finally stops flowing (and it will) the populations of the welfare state will react in an ugly way.

Sadly Caucasian America elected Obama . The minority vote voted the voted the color line as expected and all that was necessary was for Obama to split the white vote to win . He was able to do that using the class warfare method . He successfully convinced an economically depressed middle class that the gloomy financial situation in this country could be alleviated if only the more financially successful Americans would pay a little more . Their fair share as he put it. Solve the financial troubles of the nation, while at the same time giving the people an scapegoat to blame, for his failed economic policies. Take from the richest Americans who already pay 70% of all federal income taxes and redistribute it to those who did nothing to earn it . A modern day black Robin Hood.
Shortly before the election Obama stated " In five more days we will witness a fundamental transformation of America " That transformation may have in fact started. I read today the the ban on affirmative action enrollment in Michigan has been ruled unconstitutional. Are open borders , blanket amnesty, gun control, and a quota systems far behind. We have witnessed the slow erosion of our democratic principles during the past four years, now with Obama`s latest empowerment I expect the socialist snowball to pickup speed,in his vision of transforming America.

Well, that's all very well and good. However, have you been following the post election "accolades" towards the Republican candidate? Newt Gingrich is calling Romney "nuts." Jindal is stating that the Republican party is going to have to stop catering to the wealthy just to allow them to keep their "toys." You want to whine and cry "woe is me" over Obama getting elected? Apparently the best that you could come up with to contest him is a disgrace even to his own party! The Democrats saw this a long time ago, say, during the primaries. Now the "establishment" GOP'ers are on the bandwagon castigating Romney.
I would say at this point that apparently Obama is the saving grace. Dem's didn't want Romney, the Repub's that picked him out of a group of asylum escapees didn't want him. How CAN YOU COMPLAIN about Dem's? Bring something to the table next game and you might have a voice. Right now all I can envision seeing is the top of your balding heads as you bow your heads in shame.
I would no more admit to being a Republican at this point than I would a Catholic priest that monitors the boys shower room.
Castigate Obama for his poor performance??? YOU HAVE NO PLATFORM OR HISTORY TO RELY UPON TO QUESTION ANYONE!!!!!
You should really all just shut the f**k up and try to produce something better instead of complaining about what you have FAILED to best. SHEEESSH!!! It's just sad to watch. SHUT UP and do something better if you want anyone to listen to you.
And bpgast. You are apologizing to veterans??? Obama is trying to do more for veterans than any of you GOP ingrates have ever done. Give me a break.

Well look at you go. Didn't you compare yourself to Romney in another post? What exactly do you do for a living? You sound like some white collar, tree hugging activist to me! Unfortunately for us, you have to vote on party platforms and not just the candidate. You know like gun control and all those lovely social programs that us ignorant blue collars pay for! Those of us who work in the elements and with sore bodies dont really enjoy the thought of working our butts off so a dead beat can set on their butts doing nothing! I love how it was ok to protest Bush in the streets for 8 yrs, but one word about Obama and it hits the fan! What's the difference?

Can, we as a country, survive 4 more years of Obama? Yes

What, we the nation, can't survive, is a country that would re-elect him!!

Glimmerjim, it would appear as if you are in the majority in this country. This fact alone, saddens me greatly.

Instead of running Obama in the mud you ought to think about how badly the republican party failed you. They had 4 years to win this election and could not produce a quality candidate capable of winning over a president with one of the worst track records in history. The real problem with this country is the internal retoric that is inside the disturbed republican party. Obviously they lack communication and the ability to work together. The republicans have fractured off their party into segments. Nothing but doom and gloom for them in the future. You have the tea party, the liberal republicans (which Romney was), and the hard core conservatives. As soon as Romney lost they all turned against him. No teamwork= a democrate president. Fix your own party first then complain about who holds office. And yes the US depends on a 2 party system. But we would all be better off with a new party replacing the disasterous Republican one.

Is this what you're teaching our children in social studies, we are worse off then I thought.
