Still a little green in some areas of the sport is it worth it to hunt when the wind is blowing at 20 *or 25mph???

I had some good hunt, when it cold and windy. Just hunt the side of the lake, that is a wind block or sometime open water is good

My best hunts come when the wind is 20+mph.
Bottom line: never let the weather dictate when you go duck hunting. Go when EVER you can, deal with the conditions when you get there.

Wind is your friend. Took a newbie out Sunday who has hunted pheasant/quail for many years but had only shot a couple of ducks (and those were just jumping ponds). The wind was blowing 25mph out of the north, it was cloudy, and things couldnt have gone better. Ducks were coming at us about 6ft off the water trying to stay out of the wind. We had a great time, and it was good to show a friend of 25 years how exciting duck hunting can be.
