anyone bow hunt deer

Postby cONG » Fri Nov 09, 2012 3:21 pm

aim a first time bow hunter and looking for updates, on what everyone seeing and ecc. So fare I been out 2 times in one day. I shoot a coon, seen a yote behind me, shoot a armadillo. Had two does within 20 yards. I just put a tree stand within 1/4 mile from a wheat field, and another 1/4 from someone ells food plot. It had a scrap/tree lick on my side. My stand has a buck rub right in front, and a big overhand rock wall in front all timber with acorns. There a creek behind me, with the river not to fare behind. So hopefully I can get something this year!!
How is everyone season going?

I bowhunt but didn't have enough luck early on to keep me in the tree, once I got busy with school I just kinda quit making it out. Buddy had some great encounters two weeks ago but he said its at a crawl right now. This evening and the rest of this week should be a great time to be in the tree.

I have been in a tree twice a day since 11/4. It started out good with alot of buck movement but has gone downhill the last few days. I haven't seen any bucks chaseing does or fighting just alot of bucks on their feet. A friend of mine in western kansas is seeing alot of rutting activity. Good luck to you

best activity i saw was nov 3-4, most daylight trail cam pics and bucks i saw. I hunted hard from the 31st clear thru the 13th. Took this guy on the 3rd, was guiding two guys and both tagged out on the 9th and 10th.
