Stolen Goose Decoys

Postby Captain16 » Fri Aug 25, 2006 10:04 am

Just saw this on the Salinas EBCLINK. They are offering a reward for the return of stolen goose decoys last year. Now sure why they are just posting this, but here is the info. Not sure if this is a guide in central KS or who he is, but maybe someone might know more info on this?

Reward offered Last September, Matt Ogorzolka had 16 dozen goose decoys stolen. Most were new with a total value of over $1000.00. He is offering a cash reward and a fully guided goose hunting trip to anyone providing information that will lead to catching the thieves or return of the decoys. Contact Matt at 785-822-1681 .

Man that blows. Had about 3 dozen duck floaters stolen last year. Fortunately they were in my boat when they were stolen and got it covered by my boat insurance.

FWIW State Farm offers "personal property" insurance for items just like this. Normally all of your hunting gear is covered under your home insurance, but that is a pretty hefty deductible. My agent offered me this insurance, and its incredibly affordable. I have all my hunting and fishing gear covered under it, and I pay about $60/year with NO deductible at all. I want to say its like $1.50 for every $100 worth of coverage? All you have to do is send them a list of everything you have with pricing and they'll set it up.
