i know this is a fowl site, but its the only chat room that doesn't give me the creeps. i was just wondering if anyones been deer huntin yet, i'm taking off the next week and huntin everyday until i fill a tag, i was thinkin the cooler temps will have em moving more than the last few years when its been 100 on opening day. wish me luck!

I saw the other day that deer season was opening real soon. I didn't really every follow any of that. I have never deer hunted but was thinking about starting this year. Good luck as I have been seeing quite a few more out and about already.

yep its that time again , black powder season. around my area the corn is getting cut and deer are moving a lot . and the mast is dropping in the hard woods . last year it was 90 the evening i droped an 8 pointer. had to cut him up on the spot to keep from wasting the meat . this year im going to wait till its colder to go out and get one . hey good luck to ya , and let us see some pics of what ya harvest.

i killed a yearling doe, it was the first deer that came in front of me on the second day, tastes like veal. then last sun. i was coming home from teal huntin at slate creek and nailed a decent buck on hwy 160, he doesn't taste as good. good excuse to get a new truck though. :pissed:

Congrats on the deer this year, well, except for the second one. That really sucks. Glad you made it out of the hit safely though, they can definately do some damage.
