Wanted: Guide Service Recommendation

Postby redheads&greenheads » Wed Oct 16, 2013 1:02 pm

Hi!
My name's Courtney I'm a second year waterfowler from NY. Work is bringing me to Kansas in a few weeks and I wanted to see if I could get in a hunt. I'm having trouble finding a guide service that will group me with another group of hunters as it's just me. Does anyone have any recommendations? Open to any kind of wingshooting, duck, teal, goose, or dove since it's not legal to hunt them in NY. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless!

Flying in to Wichita, working in Stafford so anywhere within a few hours of either place.

Good news/bad news for you.

Good news: You should be here during pheasant season, and you are relatively close to a great deal of public hunting areas for ducks and geese. The pheasant populations are down, but you will still be able to get into the field.

Bad news: I dont know of any guides around there.

I wish it was during pheasant as well! I try to convince my boss to schedule work trips to coincide with my hunting desires but he didn't seem all that concerned. Lol.

I don't run a guide service, and I am about 2 hours from wichita. I would take you out free if you came down here to hunt. I usually hunt with a few buds from the PD....We hunt 3-5 days a week. PM if interested.
