Kansas Trophy Hybrid

Postby AUDuckSlayer » Sun Nov 17, 2013 9:57 am

Well yesterday morning started off with a bang. This one almost escaped. My first two rounds missed but the third one connected. Check him out. Gadwall Green Wing Hybrid.

Nice bird, congrats. I was wondering could it be a Green Wing and Cinnamon cross as Cinnamons have yellow legs also

Very nice. I've gotta say gadwall x gwt. Only gadwalls have the vertical white speculum on the wing and the black ring around the neck is rare but a coloration gadwalls can get. Hopefully the father was the teal. Nonetheless nice bird, better be going on the wall.

Oh he is going on the wall. He was slightly smaller than a gadwall. My first though when I picked him up was this has to be the biggest D*** GW I have ever seen then I noticed the feet and started freaking out.

Pretty sure they are called a Brewers Duck.

Endangered species and fines are worst than killing a bald eagle :hammer:

I thought brewers ducks were gadwall x mallard hybrids.

Beautiful bird, congrats.

If you want a mount that will impress, send to Todd Huffman at Birdman Studios. Absolutely amazing work, but he's not cheap!
