Hunted 24 November a.m. 13 degrees, not much wind, most of the shallow ponds are frozen. 2 of us hunted a DEEP pond hoping for geese. Not in the cards. Ended up with a mix bag of ducks 2 Mallards (1 Drake, 1 Hen), 3 Greenwing Teal(2Drakes 1 Hen), 1 Lesser Scaup Drake, 1 Canvasback Drake, 1 Gadwal Drake. Did not see many ducks overall. It was good to get out. Glad I exchanged my leaky waders at Cabela's it would have been miserable with them.

All the ponds around me have ice on them, the one across the road has about a hundred yard by a hundred yard opening and I just counted 87 geese, 23 widgeons and 38 mallards on it. Sure is nice sitting here nice and toasty, sipping coffee watching them swim around.
If you're there for the limit, you're there for the wrong reason
