Duck boat poker run?

Postby T Man » Wed Jan 15, 2014 9:32 am

I've been kicking this idea around for a couple of years but I am trying to gauge interest in a pre season poker run that would also act as a shakedown run to make sure boats are running properly. Would this be something people primsrily in eastern Kansas would be interested in? There would be an entry fee that paid for prizes and a barbeque. Thoughts? Opinions?

You can count me in as well if they do. Cluck I have 2 metal fabrication companies within 5 miles of me and I know guys who work in each that can make them. We just need to put some sort of paddle wheel on the back.

Champ, I know several sheet metal fabricators, they work in the experimental dept at a major Aircraft manufacturer and they have made pontoons before.

BTW I know where there is a set of graphite pontoons that came off of a bath tub racer, LOL

I am going to be talking to the head of the St. Paul DU this weekend about organizing this and getting some support from them. I have a marine store already interested in helping to sponsor.
