Get ready boys...temps here in the northern tier of states are cooling and feeling like fall. Teal should be on the way.

As of yesterday, there were an estimated 45,000 bluewings within 30 minutes of my abode. Cool and wet this morning....looking good.

Looks like the rain earlier in the week , along with the cooler weather, will help things quite a bit

Can't wait to get out and scout tomorrow. Going to scout most of the day! The weather is setting up perfectly

Amen ecat... I am getting very excited. Spent Labor Day scouting. Unfortunately I have to be somewhere that is out of range to scout for the opener for family business, but I am still going to get out on the opener and go blind...

Got back from scouting. Walked 4.5 miles through some pretty think vegetation. I have never seen these places so full of plants. Most of the growth was 6 ft tall if not taller. I did find a place holding some teal and hopefully even more will be there next weekend!

Its almost here!!! :lol3: :grooving:

I hope all the vegetation doesn't screw things up by not leaving open holes to sit decoys.

it will be interesting, lots of "water" but not a lot that is huntable... i spent 4-5 hours checking out a few pools with the layout. Probably paddled around 2-3 miles, who knows how much i walked. I had to ditch the boat and just hoof it towards the end. I did find a few really cool spots, but we will see who else has found them as well. I have one spot in mind to hunt the sunday of opening weekend that will be easier to get my boat to while i wait to pick up my new mud motor next week (that will make my life so much easier!). Teal where all over it and there was not much cover to hide in, perfect for my layout. I CANNOT WAIT!
