I shot this oldsquaw to day on a local reservoir came right in to my goldeneye rig! Talk about a total surprise!

Yeah we were out hunting in the last week of season in some snow. It was one of the days you could do no wrong. We were just about to a limit when he flew over in a flock of Canada's about 25yds up. He didn't stand a chance unfortunately he got hit pretty hard. Very cool birds only a little bigger than a mallard. He the second one we've seen, had one land in the decoys while snow goose hunting in the spring as well. Talked to a wildlife and parks guy and he said 2-3 are shot in Kansas every year.mudpack said:That's so interesting, fowler. Was this field hunting or over water? It was over a wheat field. He really stuck out in the flock, I guess when you're watching flock after flock of Canada's go over you notice the small differencesmudpack said:Was this field hunting or over water?
