Any birds on Cave Run?

Are there any birds up there? All my holes are froze tight just like everyone elses, I was just wondering if its worth the hour long drive up there?

Im getting so tired of newbies to the site getting on here and asking if there are any ducks on lakes around here. If there were and people were killing them why the hell would anyone tell. Well actually one guy told and ruined cedar creek for a lot of people because he doesnt live around here anymore..btw thanks for that. After this fellow started killing them and moved to west ky, he posted saying how good it was, and i bet there were 7 trucks at every boat ramp every day after that. I quit hunting there because of that. Some people may be willing to give out information but you will never get any from me. If you want to find ducks, get out and scout like i have had to do to kill ducks. good luck.

For one I'm definitely not a newbie by any means! I've been huntin ducks since I could hold a call! I'm new to the area and don't have the cash flow to make a 2 hour drive everyday to look for ducks on that lake! You need to think before you go runnin your mouth. I'm not lookin for a handout just a little friendly help. If anybody wanted to know if there were birds on any of the public lakes around me I would tell them. I guess that's the difference between you and me.

The issue is my public spots getting ruined because of the internet. You would understand where im coming from if you relied on cedar creek as your main spot and it got ruined because some idiot decided to tell everyone. Thats why people catch so much hell over what your asking on here.

Isn't that an oxymoron?

But I do agree with KYfowl that I don't disclose "my public spots" either.

I'm not tryin to argue, I do understand where you're comin from. I was not asking for anyones spots at all. But that is why the fish and wildlife department makes these places public is so anybody can hunt them. I'm done with this discussion. We have all made our points
