A guy told me best way to kill geese in jonathan creek is to get a bucket of pea gravel, sit on a dock, shake the bucket every now and then and start throwing it in the water as soon as the geese approach. They have been feed so much they think its corn or something and will swim right up to you. Next Boom, Boom, Boom, limited out and heading home. True Story. Or you could set out in the middle in your flashy metalflake bass boat with shotgun and crappie rod in hand and Boom, Boom, Boom, they never suspect it from a bass boat.
