Anyone getting out this week?

Postby teddysberna » Wed Sep 21, 2011 9:23 am

Any of you lucky enough to be able to go any this week? I may sneak in a float trip for woodies after work tomorrow, but won't be able to go until this weekend with some buddies...

No hunts for me. Test on Monday, so the three hour drive back west won't cut it this weekend. Keep the pics coming.

2 full limits this am.. 4 woodys 4 teal... no bands... i have not killed a banded wooduck in 2 years... only seen 1 in that time... luck has not been great early in the year.. but i can not complain... regular season was good to me last year.

Ha, yeah, banded within a mile of where we hunt. However, 2 of the bands were from last years birds.

I ain't mad at ya... A band is a band in my book... The only one I have is a local goose banded a few miles from where I shot him... Thanks to Catron, we knocked down 2 out of 4, both banded at the same spot I believe, so they were probably all banded and we couldn't get to the other 2... It was a fluke that we got the 2 we did I think, they were pretty deep shots
