New to hunting

Postby mmayes » Thu Oct 13, 2011 2:56 pm

I am new to hunting, I am looking for any advice I can get from what to wear to what to shoot

I plan on hunting around Aintry. If anyone knows anything about the eagles nest blind or the slip blind please post up.

Oh I also need any advice I can get on Labs from Wildrose Kennels? I am thinking of sinking 6-7 thousand on a dog.

Whatever you wear, make sure it matches.

I'll also be hunting around Aintry, not too far from the blinds you mentioned. I only give out directions via PMs tho.

As far as Wildrose pups go, I think one member has already beat you to the punch.

wear hunters orange. get full fleece or wool. get you a small boat so you can hide and get around better. 2 doz original ghg's (older style) and 2 to 6 snow goose floaters. with that combination you should be ready for mississippi river and ohio.

goodluck and take pics of the set up mmayes

Aintry, is a place in Western Kentucky where a waterfolwer of great stature and knowledge resides.

Someone asked if I got a black Hoodie, No but I can order one from Drake if I need to. They will give me a discount

Aintry has such good hunting that the Governor had it removed from all Kentucky road maps so as not to be found by Johnny topwaters come lately although it was still marked by a road sign up untill after the Millenium...

These days is more a state of mind than a destination... Unless Mr Barrelcooker extends an invitation to enjoy his' hospitality?

You will definitely want to wear this:

It's what all gentlemen wildfowlers wear.

Speaking of BM, is he on here? He sure had some great stories.
