The geese are here!

Postby duckbuster06 » Sun Oct 30, 2011 8:38 am

I've seen big flights over Commonwealth and Tates Creek the past week or so. These aren't the geese that like to sit on the pond off of Nicholasville either. Central KY may not have a whole lot of ducks but I've seen pretty good goose numbers last year and this year around Lexington, although I did have about twelve fat mallards fly over my truck at New Circle and Tates Creek around lunch on Friday.

Those ducks love bouncing back between a pond on the right and a creek on the left if your coming inbound on tates creek. I see them almost every morning on my way to class.

Saw another group of 50-60 over the mall this evening around 6:45. You central KY boys better pick the scouting up or I'm gonna shoot all your birds. :hi:

I saw my first group of migrators flying high on Saturday in the treestand... Had another big group of 30 or so fly over me, but I don't think the were heading south like the other group... Much lower and more vocal

Sugar is a mythical place, with unicorns and sugar plum ferries. It's a majestic place. I mean moth8rf^@king majestic. Like a bald eagle getting a hand job from the statue of liberty herself.
