Reckon Gator would chase a rabbit? On second thought he would probably eat it.

if he could catch it he would eat. if you shot it and let him have it he would eat it. he is a natural born killer.

Ha ha My beagle is one heck of a mole dog! Our yard is ate up with moles and at least twice a week I catch her in the yard eating one. As for rabbits, I haven't gotten her on any yet. Everyone around me says their land is covered up in em but I haven't seen any on the 50-60 acres by my house. I started out rabbit hunting with my Grandpa and its still my favorite thing to do. Nothing like listening to a beagle running a rabbit coming straight at ya!

We had lots of rabbits back before the coyotes moved in. It was nothing to see a few per mile on the backroads, They seem to stay near houses to survive these days.

Had several in the backyard before I built Gus' kennel back there.
Went rabbit hunting for the second time in my life last Thanksgiving with an older man that was retired from the real world and trained rabbit dogs. Out of his whole pack the best dog was a jack russell/beagle mix named Squeal, and squeal she did. Squeal weighed maybe 11 lbs. and was on her game that day. I could see getting into it if I had a little time and someone to learn from or learn with.
