Anyone heard if they are catching stripers below the dams? Took a drive yesterday and they were catching skipjacks but thats the only thing I saw being caught.

Went out on KY today doing some crappie fishing with my dad. Tons of people out, almost all spider riggin. It was def slow going, caught 6 keepers, and 15 that were about an inch short. Everyone we talked to on lake or at ramp didnt catch much either.
Anybody catching any Crappie in small ponds? When I say small a couple of acres, I tried a spot this past weekend with no luck. Was wondering if the ponds were still a little cold for them to be biting? Did catch about a 3lb bass was surprised with that.
Was catching more crappie(and bigger) in January than we are now, just got to find the right depth, in Jan. we were catching most fish in 16-17ft of water, now its more like 10-12ft. Thats on Ky lake, dont know how that would translate to a small pond.
With the warm weather of the last 2 days, I would guess in the ponds fish will be 2-5 ft deep as they will warm up quickly but the downside is they also cool down fast when the weather gets cool again.
