KY Hunting Help

Postby HunterofDucks » Thu Nov 01, 2012 7:58 am

I am a senior college student in the lexington area, and I love to duck hunt. Originally from Michigan. I know it is taboo to give up hunting spots, But I am looking for any ideas of where I can go to get into some birds. I will only be able to go a few times and I dont have a ton of scouting time, so I am trying to narrow my search a bit. Or if you need an extra gun I will see if I am available.

Thanks

Try the search function. Just about every spot close to Lexington worth hunting has been mentioned already. You'll need a boat or some good connections with a farmer.

I found a guide west of here that has flooded fields during the season, Moss 94... and im looking for guns...makes the price cheaper, as low as 50 to 50 a gun

I've hunted with Moss 94 before and pretty sure a few others on here have as well.

There are several public places, but you'll need to scout. There are some tricks to getting in some without a boat. Look on the KDFWR GIS map for public spots. Also, look in the guide, there are some state parks that hunt waterfowl as well.
