Howd everyone fare? I drew sloughs on dec 4th and 5th. One of my huntin partners drew sloughs on dec 9th and 10th. Another buddy 11th and 12th. So I guess we're there for the week. Was hopin for blind 45 IMO its the best and has a great view, but ill take what I can get. I drew ballard jan 15th & 16th too.

No luck for me. First year entering though, that is to be expected, I hear. If anybody has an extra spot in their party and wouldn't mind a rookie tagging along though, just let me know. There's definitely a good bottle of bourbon in it for any such kind hearted person.

I honestly have never tried to draw a blind in Hendo or Ballard. I have hunted both a few times on public and never had stellar success. Best of Luck

I got 44 which is a dry field. Definitely not a great spot without a snow spread which I don't have. Ill give a try with some duck and canada fb's. Unless there's a no show for 45 which is the best blind in my opinion. If the first day is a bummer ill venture somewhere else near. We set in 45 last year during the split and had a lot of ducks decoy to our goose spread. A group of cans, some pintails and lots of mallards. They worked 45 better than any other blinds we could see.

Yea 45 is across the road from 41, most of the few ducks i saw were over there when i was there. And we heard some shooting from that way. I don't have any snow dekes either and im not convinced that it would be worth trying to get any. I only assume that one would need alot of them to create enough suction to bring one of those flocks down.

I got drawn for Ballard on Dec 21&22nd and Sloughs blind 40 on Dec 27-30 (I think those were the right dates). I hunted 45 at sloughs last year and it was a bust. Just nothing flying that day and no real reason for them to. I've heard people use small boats to set decoys on 40?

After last yr at sloughs I said I wouldn't apply there again, but I thought that I would give it another chance this yr, or at least have the option if i want it. I have a couple places that are alot closer... I may not get my limit, but at least i will see birds. New patternmaster should be in the mail any day now... maybe I'll be able to scratch out a couple of these that fly over my house just out of range.
