best duck/goose load

Going to Ballard next month and with the 25 shell limit im thinking about either 2s for everything or 4s and bb. Anyone have any suggestions ?

I shoot 2's unless its a goose only setup then ill pack bb's.

I have never used heavy metal. I picked up some 4s but they didnt pattern any better than cheap stuff. Are they that much more effective

3" BB Winchester expert thru an extended choke. I shoot it for ducks and geese. Never let's me down. And it's cheap. :thumbsup:

Federal 2 3/4" lead 6s have yet to let me down...

Yes, they are. It's simple. Would you rather me hit you upside the head with a golf ball or a ping pong ball. That is how density works. A steel shot #3 pellet (ping pong ball) weighs less than a Hevi-shot #3 pellet (golf ball). Don't get to wrapped up in holes in paper. As long as there is no large voids in the pattern you are good to go.
