I saw this posted on another board and thought you guys would be interested.

See page 54, Item 3.

3. As stated elsewhere in this report, department employees have routinely and historically given improper and preferential treatment to the commission members that hunted at Ballard WMA, by actively soliciting from the commission members the days they wished to hunt there and providing the commission members with pre-selected duck blinds. COLVIS, in his interview, was quite candid in admitting that he and his predecessor in his current position insured that the commission members who hunted at Ballard WMA got the prime hunting blinds and that the commission members drawing a “pill” containing a blind’s number from a container was “just for show.” In other words, the system was “rigged”. The commission members avoided having to draw for a particular date to be at the WMA, as all other hunters had to do, and then, although purportedly participating in a fair drawing to obtain a duck blind, in reality got the best duck blind from which to hunt that day, another benefit also denied members of the general public.

I read about this on Facebook. I've most definitely experienced the "closed blinds" at Ballard before... Now I know why.

Well I, for one, am shocked, shocked I say, to hear that any sort of cronyism/good ol' boy shenanigans is occurring anywhere in Ky politics, especially in the department with the least oversight that doesn't get any general fund dollars.

There was a fella who posted a picture of a merganser asking what kind of duck it was and what the limit was... I guess we all have our shortcomings but I usually always look both ways before I cross the figurative street. Do some homework.

That place is the mecca of internet scouters. Its getting worse and worse by the day. I called a guy out on it trying to be nice, he denied it and kept on. I've had some really nice guys PM me off there and had in depth conversations with them, but there are some idiots there.

I agree. There was an A5 on there the other day that I should've jumped on. Not a new one either, old school. Like I said, there are some good guys on there, but some bad ones too. I asked a question about flooding and pumping and had two guys PM me and we talked back and forth forever! Great guys.
