2003-04 Waterfowl Seasons
Frankfort, KY, August 29, 2003 - The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commission set the 2003 – 2004 waterfowl seasons and removed special regulations on striped bass on Kentucky Lake and Barkley Lake tailwaters at its quarterly meeting August 29 in Frankfort. The Fish and Wildlife Commission recommends all hunting, fishing and boating regulations for approval by the General Assembly and approves all expenditures by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR). The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commission must place waterfowl seasons in the framework mandated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service because all migratory game birds are under federal control.

-- The duck season (except for canvasback and pintails) will run for 60 consecutive days from November 27, 2003 (Thanksgiving Day) through January 25, 2004, statewide. The bag limits are the same as last season.
