Yep, we hunted right on the Mississippi. Had one snow in the decoys when we pulled up, didn't see anything for the rest of the day except for some stray mallards, divers, two groups of specks, and some sandhills. You ever need a hunting buddy let me know I'm about two hours west, and I'd be willing to swap a turkey or deer hunt for a good mallard shoot.
good mallard shoots are hit and miss....some days you can't keep them from falling on you and other days you can't call or decoy enough to even get them to flinch.....but we can give it a shot next season....i'm gonna try this turkey thing out this year i think
welcome. Im from paducah area. i hunted hickman for the first time this last season. got set up and right at day light it came a flash flood lol. still had 8 different bunchs light wide. the wind changed and they didnt wanna come over or through the trees so they lit wide every damn time.
also this is my first year turkey hunting. i have seen a few and spooked a few. it's harder when u have no clue what ur doing but im trying lol.
