Postby teamoutlaw » Sat Aug 09, 2008 11:05 am

well guys i have already started my scouting.

I have found a few awesome spots for wood ducks and teal so im ready for the slaughter lol. as for geese they are slim and all moved off the pond i had permission to hunt. now they are all on a local horse farm that wouldnt let u step on there land.

other then that how's everyone else looking for the opener on geese.

Up here we call those horse farms a protected wildlife Refuge. You'll see hundreds off geese flying horse farm to horse farm and to high to even get a pass shot. Local geese are like old people, stuck in their ways and not willing to change.

i hope your talking about a big cornfield or something in taylorsville and not the lake. alot of our corn fields that have been chopped last year at this time where holding about 150 to 200 geese every day. this year at this time they might be holding 20 geese on a good day. i don't know whats happened. i believe that goose trapping the kdfw put on us last year is starting to hurt. there are very few geese flying around at all.give me a call outlaw when you get time.
