Anyone on here do any duck hunting at yucatan lake? I was just wondering if the water level fluctuates like the Mississippi or is it pretty much the same level year round. I am thinking of trying it out this year!! Any help would be nice. Did not wanna waste my time if there is nothing to look at being the water is so low

I have a friend who has hunted that area some and yes yucatan water can vary with the mississippi river levels. Good luck hunting hope that helps

I think it is surrounded by private land, not sure if it is legal to pull up in the willows and start shooting. Deer leases all around it.
My lab died, and no one on Duckhuntingchat even cared.

Im pretty sure you will not have very good luck there due to all of the private land surrounding the lake. Those guys will surely run you off of their land. The water does flucuate a LOT. Not sure how many ducks you will kill out in the lake itself... Im assuming you have been on the lake??

The water level changes with the river. The only public launch left is over on theMS. side. It is surrounded by private property and most of those people deer hunt and are very protective of their property.
