Building a duck pond

Postby gulfcoastquacker » Thu Aug 08, 2013 10:01 am

Any one ever build a duck pond and plant it in a cow pasture? I am wondering how much trouble you have keeping the cows from breaking the fence to get to the crops?
If i dont get my limit of ducks.....I'll get my limit in my ice chest!!

Put up a solar powered electric fence. The cows will stay out
If I c it in the air, it's coming down!

Depends on how hard the pasture's been grazed. Might have to be a really hot wire.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Look at tractor supply online, they have several styles to get. Use electric fence

Hey....i dont think there's a limit on cows...maybe i am looking at this all wrong.....1 shot stock the frezer for months.... :grooving: going to get the electric fence and run a double line...it seems to be the easiest to run and if i ever decide to move it, it wouldn't take much.
