8 year after Katrina

Eight years ago Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. I've always intended to put survival supplies together, like water, food, generator. Any thoughts from some of you who've been through a real disaster? Hard to believe it's been 8 year.

This is a good start. I would think longer term for food/water supplies.
Pass the tradition, introduce a child to the outdoors.
