Not a duck report, but last Friday night I could hear geese flying south all night long here in West Monroe.

Last weekend when I went to get blinds ready (SW Louisiana), had a good bit of mottle, teal, some greys, and a few mallards holding up in one of my spots. Was very surprised to see the amount of ducks that I did. Over the course of the weekend, saw a couple flocks of specks and even saw a high group or two of snows and blues. If they hang around, it could be a good opening morning next weekend.

I have a buddy on his way to our lease to build a blind now. Hopefully I get a good report. We plan on taking the kids on the youth hunt Saturday. It should be a perfect day for them with this front blowing through.

Getting spotty, but improving, reports from various SE La coastal marshes. Plan to put in some pretty serious boots-on-the-ground time this Saturday morning. Surely this front will move down a few new faces
