Moving to Louisiana, Public hunting?

I am from WV and trying to move to southwest Louisiana. Does anyone know of any descent public hunting areas in southwest Louisiana?

Sabine and Lacassine National Wildlife Refuges are the big ones. Not nearly so tame as WVa's little McClintic WMA, but a whole lot more birds.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Thanks, yeah McClintic is only worth shooting some woodies in early season. OH or Kanawa rivers are where I have the most luck. Thank ya, I sure appreciate it.

You'll be entering a very different world, though GPS and Google Earth have taken some of the adventure out of it.

Well good, I'll go about anywhere if I can find some ducks. Appreciate it.
