Anyone seen any teal yet?

Postby DC KILLER » Tue Sep 04, 2007 5:35 pm

Went scoutin yesterday on about a 7 mile stretch of the red. Not a teal in sight. Just a few woodrows and about 20 residential canadians. The river might be up a little too much for em?? Maybe not many down yet? Just wondering what any other northern louisiana guys have seen so far.

Looking for teal sightin reports from the Carnaervon or Delacroix areas. My typical stompin grounds are teal-less as usual.

Thanks for the report. I will be hunting the Scarsdale area (just below carnaervon) for the opener. Last year's West Zone duck opener was just crazy with teal down there so I hope the BW's are around for next Saturday....it's the only day I'll get to hunt the early season. good luck to all

Teal in SW LA

Postby CAJUNSIM » Fri Sep 07, 2007 6:14 pm

Teal are down along the coast in good numbers as of last 1-2 weeks. Most are being reported in SW to SCentral part of state. Marshes are full of them-rice fields have good numbers.

Doesnt look like they moved in heavy to SE marshes. Went scouting yesterday and only saw a couple small flocks here and there.
