The Wax and the Delta are both by Morgan City the delta is where the atchafalaya river dumps into the gulf of mexico the wax is just a lillte west of it. They are saying that the duck potato made it down there so they will have a little to eat on and I personally think that 90% of the ducks are just roosting out there anyway to stay away from all the people inland

Atchafalaya Delta

THE DELTA IS INSANE!!!! I've always done excellent but this year is mind boggling. Made 5 consecutive afternoon hunts, took two friends.

5 HUNT TOTAL: (3 HUNTERS)
59 GREEN HEADS
1 MALLARD HEN (my buddy ruined the perfection!!)
15 pintail drakes
10 greys
4 teal

It is insane we shot 89 out of a possible 90 ducks in 5 hunts...we only stayed in the blind for 1 1/2 hours at the longest.

Wed. afternoon, we had 8 flocks of mallards and 2 flocks of pintail cirlcling at the same time

Report seems fairly accurate---Hunted Saturday---Hunting was slow, but was able to get my limit. Some birds worked, some didn't. I guess that is why they call it hunting.
