Looking for a good spot

Postby ToddyMac » Tue Oct 26, 2004 1:09 pm

Hello everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone out there could tell me a good place to hunt ducks around the Old Town - Bangor Area.

I am currently a student at UMAINE and I feel like a fish out of water because I really do not know this area that well.

I have tried Pushaw stream and have had good luck there, however, getting to the "ducky" spots takes too long because I only have a canoe.

Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

Thanks a lot

Drive down to Newport and then continue into Corinna. In the middle of town is a small (Pond) that would be safe/perferrable to use a canoe. Early in the season I saw many ducks and the fields surrounding the area host MANY Canadians and Snow geese. The trick will be finding good cover so you may want to check it out on a Sunday afternoon the weekend before you hunt.
