Thought you might find this update on my hunting last week interesting/informative.
Thursday was sea duck hunting in the area around Naskeag point with two other friends / duck hunting nuts. We were out for for about 6 hours hunting on a group of ledges. We saw hundreds of Oldsquaw and about 60-70 Eiders. Unfortunately, they are not yet interested in getting close to shore and it will be necessary to wait a few more weeks before hitting them again. Luckily, we were able to "encourage" one BEAUTIFUL male Eider to fly within striking distance and my buddy with his NEW 3.5 inch Mossbergh autoloader took him out with a shot of number 3 steel.
All in all a great day will plan to return in December.
