stick with it

Spotted 50 geese in a marsh on Sunday while strolling with my 3 year old daughter; they flew out to a little island. She said I should come back and hunt them for dinner. Came Monday, but there were no geese. There was a guy in a little outboard canoe nearby so I guessed maybe he spooked them early. I came back Tuesday, and sure enough saw them sitting on the little island...kayaked out into the river, tried to sneak in from the back side, they spotted me at about 100 yards and off they flew. I came back Wednesday (today!), spooked them from the marsh again to the island; again outfitted my kayak, paddled in at a slightly different angle against the current and wind, and surprised them. Hooray!
