hello from northern maine, old to duck hunting but new here.
carve decoys,built a couple duck boats, work with a baydog,enjoy to hunt both ducks and geese and sea ducks.

What materials do you carve dekes out of? And what did you build for boats? Very interesting!

I carve out of white ceder, I built a taylor widgen and also a lay out boat

I think you'll enjoy this board and its participants. Typically things are pretty quiet on here until around mid-August...at which time the activity increases about 10 fold coming into October. :wink: There are guys that seem to hop on each fall just for the months of Sept and Oct...and then we won't see them again till the following fall. Then there are some of those die-hard sea duckers that don't show up till after Thanksgiving... :lol3:
Truth be told, there are some really good guys on here that contribute a lot to this discussion board...it's really nice to see the pictures and reports each year.
