Chirp Chirp...

Awfully void of pictures and reports on here for opening week for goose! Sunrises, sunsets, dogs, are all welcome subjects- doesn't have to be a stack of dead geese! :lol3: I took a little fellow out scouting locally with me yesterday. While we did jump two Wood Ducks, all that we came home with were sticky fingers from eating an ice cream cone.

Same deal here, all my spots are now devoid of birds. We had one great shoot last week but that's it. Typical for this area and things will pick up next week. Hopefully we'll do some pictures and video when we get into a better pattern.

Checked most all of my spots and only saw three very young geese in one location. Strange, I cant figure why they are not there.

Always the same frustrating story each September. :crying: Better hit them early or you'll be waiting a while... Lightning storm on the opener really bunged things up here for me.

I do like the feel of the weather though! Cool crisp mornings and dry air. Loving it!

Geese will start to show themselves again in another week or two. :hammer:

I've had one hell of a strange start to the season between broken alarm clocks, nosy cows, and trucks breaking down. :lol3: Did get out this morning, 5 birds snuck up on me from behind without a sound by the time I turned around they were starting to flare from me moving.. First birds of the season and nothing to show for it. At least they're starting to come out again though.

Its has been our most fruitful early season...we don't put a big hurting on the local population by any means, but enjoy the hell out of it! Here are a few pics from the season so far

Seems like it's gonna be a good morning in central north zone. Standby for pics.

Well everything has gone perfectly so far. Except my shooting. Don't know if it's an off day or what
