First Gopro video

Postby Seaductor » Sun Nov 10, 2013 12:56 pm

I picked up a Gopro camera and shot some footage that I finally got around to editing into a short video. Learning to work the editing software was the toughest thing about the whole deal. It seems like there aren't ever any clear instructions that come with this stuff. It's all trial and error. Add that to the fact that my new Computer is Windows 8, it's like learning to walk all over again!
Anyway, I was able to corral enough birds to shoot what I think are some pretty good scenes.. I even got a Greenhead double on tape!! If I had remembered to start the camera with the remote more often, I'd of had some good goose footage too! Unfortunately, calling, flagging, and getting excited and ready to shoot left me forgetting to start the camera several times.

I uploaded it up onto Youtube and here is the link to "Ducks of the North" Hope you enjoy watching it!!

Nice! I think my favorite part rolled by at 1:18 with the dog exploding out of the hay. Sweet! :clapping:

Gopro 3 black edition. Most of it was shot at 1080. 50fps. I went to 50 to get the mojos to look right.

Uploading it to youtube really cuts the quality but not as much as a direct upload to facebook does.

The file off the camera is so sharp and clear it's unbelievable!

Nice video.
Does your video take a coons age to load up?I have a gopro and trying to get video to youtube is a pain.Takes hours for a few minutes to load.
My lab is still the best hunting partner there is.

Not hours but a lot of minutes!!! My 10 minute video took maybe 45 minutes

If I could get my video to load in 45 minutes that would be awesome. Now it takes 4-5 hours for 5-6 minutes.

Sounds like a connection problem maybe? My computer is new so that may be why it's fairly quick

It really has to do with the time of day and how many people are on YouTube. It varies for me quite a bit. Peak hours it can load incredibly slow.

My laptop is new,no old equipment.Any other video with my other cameras loads up nice and quick. The Gopro is another matter, love the thing but I need to get some kid who was born in the puter age to iron it out for me.I'm still a sharp stick, big rock kind of guy technology wise. :help:
