Plenty there, get 'em while you can

Postby mountainguy » Fri Jan 03, 2014 4:25 pm

1 day left in the season! Plenty of birds out there, if you want to brave the icy temperatures in the marshes. I came home with a Black Duck and 2 Geese yesterday and again today (and spotted 2 Mallards but couldn't get to them.) Tomorrow I think I'll sleep in, was a lovely season.

Anyone else seeing some Coastal Zone success in this exceptionally cold weather?

Been superb the last month! Going out for the last day. Steady diet of geese, mallards, blacks and divers. Been super cold and have been picking days for the good of the dog. Lots of pure black ducks taken this year. Looking forward to some sea ducks and a trip with seaductor for Brant and ducks in southern new England!

Froze my you know whats off on Thurs. sat for as long as I could and managed a goose. Still haven't made it out for sea ducks so we'll see what happens there. Headed to Maryland at some point as well to kill some of those albino sky rats.
