Puddle ducks

Postby 887 » Sun Jan 22, 2012 7:28 pm

So new to Maryland waterfowl. Spent this season hunting the upper bay and sea duck zone. Looking at scouting public blind sites for next year to hunt puddle ducks in creeks, flooded timber, ect. Any information would be helpful, just point me in the right direction. Boat access or packing in is fine by me. I understand no one wants to give up their honey hole, just need a foot through the door.

Where in AA? I'm in SOCO. Not many spots for ideal puddle duck action unless its a private spot.

Unfortunately mostly dock ducks in Anne Arundel Country, especially this year. Very familiar with Furnace and Marley as we always have a blind site in the area along with lots of other hunters. Sometimes when your options are limited, you just have to settle. We try to make sure we spread out our options.
