How do you go about finding leases' or should I say finding out what is available?

Step 1. Find a property that is worth your time and money- aka has birds frequenting it
Step 2. Knock and ask the farmer if he allows hunting. Dont open with "hey heres my wallet!" Some farmers would rather a local that will help him throw hay or milk cows over the summer in exchange for hunting permission. Bringing leasing ideas into areas that never had them before only makes it hard for the small guy that doesnt make a ton of money to get a spot to hunt. Try just asking first.
Step 3. If he says he allows hunting but it is currently leased, ask him when the lease is up, and how much.

There are also leases that will pop up on craigs list, hunting forum classifieds, or just by word of mouth. Some other guys might have some other ideas also
does having multiple screen names on a forum and having a conversation with yourself make you an extra special rock star hunter?
