To All;

The Potomac Chapter will conduct its annual clean up of McKee Beshers Wildlife Management Area (MBWMA) this coming Saturday March 10th. This event will start at 8:00 AM. We will meet at the same parking lot that we use during our training clinics which is on Sycamore Landing Road . We will break out the attendees into teams to cover the various training areas and roads.

The Chapter will supply the trash bags and latex free rubber gloves. Most of us also bring a heavier set of gloves to use if needed. Another recommended item is one of those extended trash grabbers so you do not have to bend over or touch the items. If anyone has an open bed truck we could definitely use that as we will have pick up the bags collected and put them next to the dumpster on Sycamore Landing Road. The State will pick up the bags the following week. We will serve a light lunch around noon following the work.

This is a great community service effort and is much appreciated by the very limited staff who manages MBWMA. When we started this project several years ago we picked up five 5 ton truck loads. That # has been reduced considerably as we stay on top of this. If you care about the environment and your dogs please come out and help remove the trash and glass that could injure your dog. Please encourage all to attend. Many hands make the work go faster and we will be able to cover the areas. Dog training will follow trash pick up.

Thank you in advance for your help. Eric
