My dad and I hunted one of the sandy point sites last year. We did not do well because we were using our whaler instead of our actual duck hunting boat (that's besides the point). The water depth was pretty deep. We saw lots of buffleheads zipping around and also a ton of canadas. As far as other ducks, I dont remember. The blind sites were marked with buoys, which was pretty nice, wasnt used to that in most other areas.

Good luck!

Well here is the scouting report for sandy point hunt....

(1)Arrive early put boat in water
(2) load boat with gear
(3) go to start boat and battery is dead

day of hunting wasted yayy! for all that wanna know yes i heard a ton of geese at 6 am from the dock.....i have hunted every day for 3 weeks and haven't fired a shot at a duck or goose. Worst part i have to leave soon to go back to college this season is pretty much a wrap for me i surrender. :fingerhead:

hope everyone else has some better luck!
