A place to learn from others, share information and gain knowledge on duck hunting in Maryland, of the fabled Chesapeake bay.
Straight from the DNR website:
In the Deal Island WMA and Fairmount WMA impoundments, motorized boats, except those powered by electric motors, are prohibited between October 1 and March 31.
Well that sucks a big one. Does anyone have any more info on the topic?

That's just in the actual impoundment areas.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Let a man vote to give himself a fish and he eats until society collapses.

I'm guessing it is to reduce the hunting pressure on the impoundments. Last year the DNR said they wanted to get the numbers back up at Deal Island like they were a few decades ago.
