Todays hunt

Postby Mikeguard01 » Tue Jan 02, 2007 7:10 pm

Today hunt was a little windy and kept me in a back creek. Not many birds flying had a nice flock of Bills circle the creek.

They were working their way closer.

Then they came straight in towards the decoys but a big gust of wind blew my blind cover off and instead of flaring they sat down just out of gun range.

Came home only with pictures but still had a good time. Didn't see another hunter all morning.

Nice pics. I've been getting alot of fly bys like that on the miles. Not much movement without the weather. Seen any cans on your creek?

I've seen them by the hundreds off of Elliotts Island but they are staying out in the middle. We've got three weeks to hope something happens. Good luck.

We have the same problem here I had about 200 birds rafted up 150 yards from me all morning they didn't get up till I left. I guess the wind got them going yesterday. I'm going out with a friend tomorrow. He informed me there is a work boat that goes out ever 20 min. That's sure to stir things up.
