Pete

DHC members we lost one of our friends; Grey Dog passed away in early January. We had just hunted together two weeks prior on the river. I feel privlegded to have spent a dozen times with him in the blind over the past two years. We found each other through DHC. We normally hunted good old Makee Beshers.

He was one of the smartest people I know and was literally a rocket scientist. For those who have hunted Makee beshers there usually are not that many opportunities on a given morning but he would somehow know given the wind speed and wind directions and other factors whether we might have a good chance of getting some geese when they left the roost in the morning.

I never had the pleasure of meeting him but had spoken to him on here on a few occasions. My heart goes out to his family and friends I for whatever reason assumed he was middle aged. If you don't mind me asking was he an older gentleman?

Sorry to hear this. I PMed a couple times on various topics with Greydog. Never got to hunt with him but he was very insightful and a pleasant hunter to talk with.
does having multiple screen names on a forum and having a conversation with yourself make you an extra special rock star hunter?
