early goose season

Postby MS2XX » Fri Jul 28, 2006 12:28 pm

Massachusetts announced the early goose season dates are from September 3 to September 23 with a five (5) bird limit per /day. That's great if you have the land to hunt but places like Cape Cod are inundated with tourists and we have a point system for them. I shouldn't bitch cause at least we have lots of geese for later on... MS2XX

How many points for a tourist???

When I started Duck Hunting in MI. we had a point system here. If I remember correctly, you could take up to 11 birds a day,,,, selective shooting required!

Now were allowed 6 birds per day,, unless they've changed the rules again!

early goose season dates

I thought the dates were actually Sept 5th to the 23rd. I was thinking that is what I saw on the mass wildlife site.
